Matthew Green - Project Manager / Construction Supervisor
Matthew's early childhood began in NSW and eventually saw him riding his bike with his brother and his friends around the streets of the Sunshine Coast. His two major passions in life developed very early on; as he picked up a guitar to play and create music, he simultaneously picked up a hammer and chisel to work with timber.
For some time Matthew pursued both these areas with passion. He played and recorded in various bands; as lead guitarist and singer, and was seen playing throughout Australia at various music festivals. At home, he recorded his own music, and was influenced by the musical styling of Jimmy Page and Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin.
Whilst his music career slowly climbed, he gained his qualifications as a carpenter, moving on to site supervisions, and eventually gaining the qualifications of a Builder. He completed a Bachelor of Design, and now has over 20 years of experience in the building industry. He has designed and managed the renovations of hundreds of homes, assisting owner builders achieve their dreams of beautifully designed and constructed residences throughout Sydney and the Illawarra. Since 2011 Matthew also worked as a teacher at TAFE NSW, determined to give back to the industry by developing the minds and skills of the new age of carpenters and joiners.
In his personal life, Matthew is the father of three, and step father to twin daughters. It is not uncommon to see Matthew sitting on the lounge playing his guitar composing new music for the enjoyment of his family. During the ski season, you can see Matthew going 'off-piste' on his snow board and during the summer season he is catching a wave on his board; a thrill seeker to the end.
Finally, much to his brother's disappointment, he support Chelsea in the English Premier League, something that should never be brought up at family reunions.
