A retro bathroom renovation in Florida, US

This homeowner knew exactly what she wanted her new bathroom to look like, and a Pensacola Renovation Consultant helped her to achieve it.

Ready for a practical and modern update, this Florida homeowner met with local Renovation Consultant to discuss her bathroom renovation ideas. Her existing bathroom’s design was outdated and didn’t match her personal style.
“The homeowner knew exactly what she wanted”, tells the Renovation Consultant. “She was going for a retro black and white bathroom theme.”
The Renovation Consultant worked with her team to help her client develop a feasible design. All aspects considered, she was then able to provide the homeowner with a quote and timeframe of when the project would be completed by. The homeowner approved the plans, and the build stage began.
The Renovation Consultant sourced all of the required materials from local suppliers and scheduled-in a team to carry out every detail of the project. The first step was to demolish the existing bathroom so that the renovation consultant's team had a blank canvas to work with for the new design. Electrical outlets were updated and added, and new lighting fixtures were installed in the form of a practical ceiling LED fixture from James Allan as well as a stylish vanity light from Craftmade.
To create more space in the bathroom, the Renovation Consultant's team rearranged the existing door so that it now opens into the hall rather than into the bathroom. New drywall was installed in the walls and ceiling and, from there, the showerhead and tub faucets were replaced with models from Moen and moved to the opposite side of the shower. Glass shower panels were installed, which also helped to open up and modernize the space. Striking white subway tiles were then installed in the shower and shower-niche.
The existing vanity was converted into a double vanity with an additional sink, new taps from Kingston, and two matching mirrors. For the countertops, “Arctic White” quartz was installed.
Importantly, a new toilet was also installed - a Kohler Santa Rosa model with AquaPiston technology, chair-height seating, and a quiet-close lid.
Storage is important in any bathroom renovation. The Renovation Consultant's client decided on custom-made cabinets from Jim Bishop that now offer far more storage and functionality.
To complete the black-and-white retro look, white hexagon and black marble mosaic floor tiles were installed and the walls were painted in “Sea Salt” with paint from Sherwin Williams.
While the layout appears the same, the bathroom looks like a completely new space. The color choices make the room feel light and spacious, while the design choices have resulted in much more elegance and personality.
