We design every project with your specifications and budget in mind, and can make adjustments to the design and fixed-quote (before any building begins) to better suit your needs. With this in mind, the cost of your build will be dependent on your specifications. The following provides a rough cost guide, based on projects Refresh has carried out in the past:
- Kitchen renovations: $40k - 140k+
- Bathroom renovations: $20k - $211k+
- Basement conversions: From 70k
- Garage conversions: From $30k
- Extensions/additions: $90k - $350k+
- Large scale renovations/restorations: $95k - $500k+

Will Refresh take care of any required council permits?

Refresh will carry out your build according to the New Zealand building code and, should it require a building consent, Refresh can take care of the application process for you. Additions, alterations and projects which alter the structure of your home will require a building consent. Some plumbing and drainage work will also require consent. What materials are commonly used for home renovations in the North Shore?

Knowing what materials work well within your region’s climate and conditions is always a good place to start when approaching a renovation or build. North Shore homes commonly feature weatherboard and cedar exteriors, with brick and stone exteriors also being common. For the interiors, hardwood flooring is a popular choice, with high-quality carpets adding comfort to bedrooms and living areas.
